What counts as an event

A page view, or an event you declare yourself. The tracker's own bookkeeping — outbound clicks and identify() calls — is free. The month is the calendar month in UTC, and a plan's cap is shared by every project on the account.

The cap is soft

Nothing is switched off at the cap, and nothing is ever cut mid-month.

  • At 80% we email you. Nothing else changes.
  • At 100% we email you again, and from then until the month resets the collector keeps one browser event in ten — whole sessions at a time, so funnels still add up. Revenue and identity events from your servers are always kept in full.
  • Upgrading restores everything from that moment on. Downgrading never removes a project; it only refuses the next one past the smaller cap.

You can see where you stand at any time on your account page, or with GET /api/usage.

Paying

Billing is monthly through Stripe, who hold the card; we never see it. Change or cancel from your account page, and the change takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for.

From a terminal, or from the coding agent that set the project up:

That opens Stripe's checkout page and waits for the payment. The agent can run every step, and cannot complete the one that matters — the card is typed by a person on a page we do not render. The API reference explains how the flow is put together.

The full agreement is on the terms page, and what we do with data on the privacy page. Questions about a plan that isn't listed: contact us.
